Documentary “Sound of Torture”

The University of Geneva is co-organizing the screening of the documentary “Sound of Torture” as part of the Global Migration Film Festival. It will take place at the Auditorium Arditi in Geneva on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 20:00.

After the screening, a discussion will be moderated by Valentin Juillard (AESPRI) with the following speakers:

Melete Solomon
Cultural mediator, psychologist (UNIGE et AMIC)

Veronica Almedom
Member of Federal Commission of migration and co-director of IFE

Negash et Admasawit
Eritrean asylum seekers

Raphaël Rey
Ethnologist (UNINE)

You certainly remember the story of Negash and his daughter Admasawit who have been living in Geneva for almost two years while being separated from Admasawit’s mother, Timnit, during their disturbing migratory journey. To read their story click here.
